Team Offsite: Hand-Building
Wheel-throwing Team/Private Event Offsite ($90/PP)
Class Description
With hand-building, we'll use slabs (long sheets of clay) to make mugs, vases, coasters, hangers, etc... The basics are very straightforward for hand-building, but there are loads of freedom to get creative through design, texturing, layering of clay. Generally speaking, hand-building tends to be a bit more civilized, where one's imagination can run wild. Wine is the preferred drink of choice. :<) (BYOB!) Post-class: Our expert team will glaze your work for you, and will do the rest! Pricing is $90 per participant (minimum 6) Please reach out with inquiries regarding smaller parties. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Policies
Electronic Invoice: Once you confirm your event time and headcount by replying to our email, we will send over an invoice for the mandatory 20% event deposit. Please pay this deposit upon receipt. If you need to change the number of participants, please reach out at least 48 hours in advance of your event. Suggested Clothing: We will provide aprons which should cover the clay, but in some cases folks can get a bit wild. If someone is quite particular about their clothes, we suggest either wearing or changing into something they don't mind getting clay on. Clay should come out of most fabrics in the wash. It is also a good idea to wear long hair up and to trim long nails as they will impede your ability to work with the clay. Picking Up Artwork: Pieces made in private events take a minimum of four weeks to fully complete (bisque and glaze firing). Once they are finished, a staff member will notify the event organizer via email to come pick up the individually bagged artwork. In-person pick up is required, we do not ship.
